Week 16 – 2015
What joy a new season brings, doesn’t it? Whether you’re in Australia welcoming Fall, or in Europe welcoming Spring, there’s charm in every new season I believe. For us it means enjoying long sunny afternoons in the backyard, soon the barbecue will be fired up too.
Crochet and tea, go perfectly well in a sunny backyard too I must say. Last week I finished weaving in the ends of the baby blanket I recently crocheted, have a look here for more pictures. Thank you all who commented so sweetly to it. The matching mama-shawl is still in progress, I will update you later this week on the lay-out options as I am still undecided.
Last week I visited the book launch of Haken & Kleur Buiten and there’s a video online now to give you an impression of the joyful party it was. There’s even a couple seconds of me commenting on the book, at about 10.37 minutes if you like. This video by the way is part of a new online tv-show called Koffie & Wol hosted by Saskia. It is in Dutch and all about coffee or tea and yarn, crochet, and knitting, showing you new designs and patterns, as well as techniques on stitches. So much fun! Have a look to see more episodes here and explanation of stitches and patterns in written text as well.
To get back to the seasons: if you’re welcoming Fall the next couple weeks, watch my blog later this week for a cute baby make with a beautiful wool yarn. Or if you like to work ahead and plan your projects but are in Spring or Summer season, you’re probably interested too.
Wishing you a lovely new week full of coffee, tea and yarn!
